The Cleveland Guardians franchise began in 1894 as the Grand Rapids Rustlers, moving to their permanent home in Cleveland in 1901 when they became a major league franchise. The Cleveland Guardians fanbase holds one of the best fan records in baseball history, selling out Jacobs/Progressive Field in 455 straight games. The streak began on June 12, 1995 and concluded on April 4, 2001.
